Academician Gan Yong and his delegation visited the torch Antai for inspection and research

   On the afternoon of November 7, 2020, Academician Gan Yong, academician of the CAE Member, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairman of the National New Materials Expert Advisory Committee, vice chairman of the consortium of the Advanced Materials Society of the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, Zhao Pei, executive vice chairman of the Chinese Metal Society, member of the Special Advisory Committee, He Yaohong, secretary-general of the China Electronic Materials Association, and head of the secretariat of the Special Advisory Committee for New Materials Vice President Liu Xiao and other leading experts from the Steel Research Institute visited Zhuzhou Torch Antai for inspection and research.

  Accompanied by Vice Mayor Wang Wei'an of Zhuzhou City, Director Liu Haibin of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Vice Chairman and General Manager of the company, and other leaders, they visited the Torch Antai ITO target project and new factory construction, and conducted research on factory production.

  At the symposium, the general manager of the company introduced that Torch Antai, as an important industrial base supported by national policies for the Electronic Information Industry Technology Transformation Project, has been recognized by industry leading enterprises such as BOE, Huaxing Optoelectronics, and Huike for its developed ITO target materials and other series of products.

  Academician Gan Yong said that new materials are the foundation of advanced manufacturing, and there is a broad space for industrial development. The new material industry is developing rapidly and has great potential. Relying on decades of technology accumulation, unique core technology and process flow, Torch Antai is one of the few manufacturers in China that can fully produce various target materials required for G10.5 and G11 generation TFT-LCD.

 In the production workshop, the vice chairman of the company introduced the production and operation of Torch Antai to the experts and gave a detailed explanation of the target materials that have been produced.

  At the target exhibition hall, the vice chairman of the company introduced the current target products of Torch Antai to the experts, mainly including ITO flat targets, ITO cylindrical targets, molybdenum targets, copper targets, aluminum targets, titanium targets, indium targets, and rare earth metal targets.

  In the new factory building, the vice chairman of the company introduced to the experts the target material production and other ancillary equipment that will be installed in the new factory building. The new factory building has been basically completed and is currently in the stage of equipment installation, commissioning, and awaiting acceptance. The total investment of the project is 1 billion yuan. After the construction of the new factory is put into production, it is expected that the production of ITO sintering target materials will be 500 tons/year, and other target materials will be 300 tons/year, which can further enhance and consolidate the forefront position of Torch Antai in the new materials industry.
